AAN honors BIDMC neurologist with Epilepsy Award Bernard Chang.

Chang’s work is helping to reveal the genetic basis of cerebral development,’ says Clifford Saper, MD, PhD, Chairman of the Division of Neurology at BIDMC. ‘This, in turn, will help lead to more precise diagnoses and prognoses for both small children and adults affected by seizure disorders.’ ‘The overall goal of our study is to raised understand the ways in which epilepsy evolves in the mind,’ adds Chang. ‘In this way, we can work to develop new therapies that may prevent seizures then, minimize the dangers and side effects of therapy, and improve individuals’ productivity and quality of life.’ A graduate of Harvard College, Chang received his M.D.* 2-South ICU, Sacred Center Medical Center, Spokane, Wash.
